"It's All About Giving"

Little Stuart was a shy, little boy. One day he came home and told his mother that he wanted to make a valentine for everyone in his class. Her heart sank. She thought, "I wish he wouldn't do that!" because she had watched the children when they walked home from school. Her Stuart was always behind them. They laughed and hung on to each other and talked to each other. But Stuart was never included. Nevertheless, she decided she would go along with her son. So she purchased the paper and glue and crayons. For three weeks, night after night, Stuart painstakingly made 35 valentines.

Valentine's Day dawned, and Stuart was beside himself with excitement. He carefully stacked them up, put them in a bag, and bolted out the door. His mother decided to bake him his favorite cookies and serve them nice and warm with a cool glass of milk when he came home from school. She just knew he would be disappointed and maybe that would ease the pain a little. It hurt her to think that he wouldn't get many valentines - maybe none at all.

That afternoon she had the cookies and milk on the table. When she heard the children outside, she looked out the window. Sure enough, there they came, laughing and having the best time. And, as always, there was Stuart in the rear. He walked a little faster than usual. She fully expected him to burst into tears as soon as he got inside. His arms were empty, she noticed, and when the door opened she choked back the tears.

"Mommy has some cookies and milk for you," she said.

But he hardly heard her words. He just marched right on by, his face aglow, and all he could say was: "Not a one. Not a one."

Her heart sank.

And then he added, "I didn't forget a one, not a single one!"

This is Rex Barker, reminding us to see the inner joy of a child giving something and to understand that true joy comes from giving and helping others, not by receiving.

Excuses, Excuses...

A senior citizen in Florida bought a brand new Mercedes convertible. He took off down the road, flooring it to 80 mph and enjoying the wind blowing through what little hair he had left on his head."This is great," he thought as he roared on down I-75.He pushed the pedal to the metal even more. Then he looked in his rear view mirror and saw a highway patrol trooper behind him, blue lights flashing and siren blaring."I can get away from him with no problem," thought the man and he tromped on it some more, and flew down the road at over 100 mph, then 110, 120mph. Then he thought, "What am I doing? I'm too old for this kind of thing."He pulled over to the side of the road and waited for the trooper to catch up with him. The trooper pulled in behind the Mercedes, and walked up to the man. "Sir," he said, looking at his watch. "My shift ends in 30 minutes and today is Friday. If you can give me any reason why you were speeding, that I've never heard before, I'll let you go."The man looked at the trooper and said, "Years ago my wife ran off with a Florida State trooper, and I thought you were bringing her back."The trooper replied, "Sir, have a nice day."

Rex Barker here with "A LESSON FROM DAD

This is one of my favourite story that I would like to share with all of my friend....

Once when I was a teenager, my father and I were standing in line to buy tickets for the circus. Finally, there was only one family between us and the ticket counter. This family made a big impression on me. There were eight children, all probably under the age of 12. You could tell they didn't have a lot of money. Their clothes were not expensive, but they were clean.

The children were well-behaved, all of them standing in line, two-by- two behind their parents, holding hands. They were excitedly jabbering about the clowns, elephants and other acts they would see that night. One could sense they had never been to the circus before. It promised to be a highlight of their young lives.

The father and mother were at the head of the pack standing proud as could be. The mother was holding her husband's hand, looking up at him as if to say, "You're my knight in shiningarmor." He was smiling and basking in pride, looking at her as if to reply, "You got that right."

The ticket lady asked the father how many tickets he wanted. He proudly responded, "Please let me buy eight children's tickets and two adult tickets so I can take my family to the circus." The ticket lady quoted the price. The man's wife let go of his hand, her head dropped, the man's lip began to quiver. The father leaned a little closer and asked, "How much did you say?

"The ticket lady again quoted the price. The man didn't have enough money. How was he supposed to turn and tell his eight kids that he didn't have enough money to take them to the circus?

Seeing what was going on, my dad put his hand into his pocket, pulled out a $20 bill and dropped it on the ground. (We were not wealthy in any sense of the word!) My father reached down, picked up the bill, tapped the man on the shoulder and said, "Excuse me, sir, this fell out of your pocket.

"The man knew what was going on. He wasn't begging for a handout but certainly appreciated the help in a desperate, heartbreaking, embarrassing situation. He looked straight into my dad's eyes, took my dad's hand in both of his, squeezed tightly onto the $20 bill, and with his lip quivering and a tear streaming down his cheek, he replied, "Thank you, thank you, sir. This really means a lot to me and my family.

"My father and I went back to our car and drove home. We didn't go to the circus that night, but we didn't go without.

Rindu mama!!!

Bila hari raya nak menjelang aku mula rasa sunyi dan sedih bukan kerana aku tak mempunyai keluarga sendiri tapi kerana mengingati arwah mama aku yang hampir 3 tahun telah meninggalkan aku & adik-adik aku. Terdengar jer lagu raya hati aku mula sayu, kalu dengar takbir raya terus aku melalak… Tambah-tambahan plak lagi 10 hari kita nak beraya… Memang aku tak leh nak control feeling aku.
Kecian kat adik aku sebab tahun ni dia beraya sendirian. Abah aku balik rumah mak mertua dia, adik aku pasti tak akan ikut punya. Adik aku yg no.2 kerja tahun ni kalu balik pun dalam petang raya so tinggal la adik aku yang baru umur 15 tahun tu kat rumah sorang-sorang dipagi raya… Dia ada kata kat aku.. “kak..kak.. kalu arwah mama ada mesti taufik takkan raya sorang-sorang kan?...” berderai airmata aku dikala adik aku meluahkan perasaan hati dia. Tahun sebelum ni aku bersama dia tapi tahun ni dia bersendirian. Adik aku kata dia rela bersendirian dari menagih simpati orang dipagi raya, nak balik rumah tok aku pun dia tak mau kalu aku dan adik aku tak ada sekali… Sebab utama tok aku suka marah dan membebel kat dia, sedangkan tok aku tak faham apa yang dia dah lalui dalam hidup dia…

Seingat aku bila time nak raya aku dengan arwah mama aku mesti akan bergaduh, bukannya apa yelah masing-masing sibuk nak menyiapkan rumah untuk raya.. selalunya sehari sebelum raya memang akan perang besar punya la.. Dah la aku ni pemalas mama aku plak terlebih excited apa lagi meletup la bom dia.. Hehehehe La aku memang merindui semua itu. Sapa nak gaduh dengan aku sehari sebelum raya, mak tiri aku memang Nampak cam tak amik tau yelah sebab dia bukannya pemilik rumah tu. Cam arwah mama aku lain la, dia dengan abah aku yang susah payah membeli rumah so mesti la nak rumah dia cantik kan lagipun dia selalu kata “mama nak duduk rumah ni sampai mama mati.. tak nak beli rumah lain dah..” memang termakbul doa mama kan, mama meninggal pun dalam rumah dia..

Semalam aku baru balik dari cuci kubur arwah mama, bila time nak balik mesti berat kaki aku nak melangkah. Terasa sangat sebab aku ni sorang anak pompuan dia, selalu sangat bersama… La memang rindu yang teramat. Dikala aku menaip blog ni pun airmata aku mula nak meleleh, aku kesat sebab aku tak mau menangis tahun ni…

SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI.. MAAF ZAHIR DAN BATIN!!

Where's my miracle..

Still waiting for the miracle from GOD.. My hubby say never mind my love maybe in future he'll give it to us.. Why when we want something from GOD, it will take such a long time? Until sometimes makes us feel it's unfair 2 do like that 2 me... Is it that he has its own way to deliver it to us... Now I'm asking 2 you GOD.. Please give me someone that I can play or be with when my hubby not around... Some miracle from you won't bring any harm... I'll never give up, I'll pray and pray until that day come...
Until then let us pray so that the day will come soon!!!
Maybe my future miracle will looks like her cause she's so cute and beautiful....
